A Star On And Off the Court

One of the NBA’s all-time greatest players Steph Curry makes good plays on the court and in business.

Key Details

  • Two-time MVP and four-time NBA champion Steph Curry stays busy on the court being an NBA all star, but he stays busy with about a half dozen business ventures as well.
  • Curry also founded SC30 a company with 16 employees to manage his investments and partnerships and media company Unanimous Media.
  • Curry has an estimated net worth of $92.8 million with $45.8 million being his basketball salary and the rest stemming from his earnings off the court.
  • He says that his work doesn’t stop with basketball and that he plans to stay busy with his many business ventures. “When the ball stops bouncing, the work won’t stop. It’s just getting started,” he says.
  • Not only does he make money he also gives away money giving millions to charities.

Why it’s news

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is one of the most decorated NBA basketball players.

He is a two-time MVP, four-time champion, one-time Finals MVP, eight-time All-Star, and the NBA’s all-time leader in three-pointers. It is undeniable that he stays extremely busy on the court, but he stays busy with many business ventures as well.

Curry has accumulated many endorsements and partnerships with big brands during his time as a NBA player. He has been the brand ambassador of Under Armour since 2013.

He initially signed with the company for $4 million, but that price has since gone up significantly. Under Armour released his own shoe brand called the Curry Brand. Insider reports that he is working on a deal with the company that could have a lifetime value of close to $1 billion.

Other deals he has are with water filter company Brita, Degree, JPMorgan Chase, Infinit, Palm and Rakuten, Subway and crypto company FTX.

Curry also founded SC30 a company to manage his investments and partnerships and media company Unanimous Media.

Giving Back

It is no shock that with his NBA contract and large number of endorsements and partnerships that Curry is tied to that he has amassed a large net worth. He has an estimated net worth of $92.8 million with $45.8 million being his basketball salary and the rest stemming from his earnings off the court.

One thing that makes him stand out is the amount he gives back to those that are less fortunate. Curry has given millions to charity as well as created foundations to give back.

Curry and his wife Ayesha created a foundation called Eat. Learn. Play. that focuses on childhood education and healthy lifestyles. With the foundation the two have reportedly given out 500,00 books and 25 million meals across Oakland.

Curry has also given millions to many charities and given back to the community.

Not all of Curry’s investments have paid off—through endorsements he earned a stake in the now-bankrupt FTX. He is one of several athletes being investigated for securities violations.
