The Problem
Boundaries are important in all areas of life—from work to personal relationships, to any area of life that requires us to communicate and share time and space with one another.
In her newest book Good Boundaries and Goodbyes: Loving Others Without Losing the Best of Who You Are, bestselling author Lysa TerKeurst helps readers address dysfunctional relationships through a faith-based approach to boundaries.
“Join New York Times bestselling author Lysa TerKeurst as she helps you stop the dysfunction of unhealthy relationships by showing you biblical ways to set boundaries—and, when necessary, say goodbye—without losing the best of who you are,” says the publisher.
Backing up a Bit
Lysa TerKeurst is a bestselling Christian author of non-fiction and has written more than 12 books including Forgiving What You Can’t Forget and What Happens When Women Say Yes To God.
She is the president of Proverbs 31 Ministries—a non-denominational nonprofit that focuses on women’s ministries.
She is a mother of five children and lives with her family near Charlotte, North Carolina, where she bases her ministries.
Possible Solutions
Good Boundaries and Goodbyes draws upon TerKeurst’s experience in counseling and research to help others love one another in healthy relationships.
“I love processing life together, being honest about our struggles together, and celebrating our victories together. I’ve seen so much progress in my own relationships through all I’ve learned about good, healthy boundaries, and I want the same for you,” she says.
“I know that setting boundaries in relationships can be incredibly difficult to navigate … and I truly believe the best way for us to process all of these hard things is face-to-face and heart-to-heart.”
The book explores how to implement boundaries, how to determine how much access you can permit others into your life, how to navigate unhealthy dynamics, and how to close the door when a relationship cannot be fixed.
The book will be published on November 8, 2022, by Thomas Nelson.
