Social Media Manager

Position Overview

Leaders Media is seeking a passionate Social Media Manager to manage day-to-day social content and strategy for the digital marketing team. This position plays a vital role for Leaders and will develop and execute a social media strategy across all platforms. Along with a passion for storytelling and attention to detail, this individual must have in-depth social media knowledge. This role requires an instinct for what’s on (and off) brand, an eye for powerful visuals and an understanding of how data can inform a social strategy. The Leaders team is growing rapidly and this role requires someone who thrives working with other high level A-team players in a fast paced environment, while maintaining the highest level of quality.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Ensure consistency of brand voice across all content
  • Manage day-to-day posting and optimization of content on multiple social media platforms
  • Develop content, copyright, social media mapping and execution, and creative asset language that supports the organization overall
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments
  • Promote the activities and the mission of Leaders
  • Work with Influencers and develop an influencer collaboration strategy
  • Identify key concepts, ideas and themes within the organization for content creation
  • Report on content performance, analytics and present social insights
  • Continuously identifying areas of opportunity and improvements
  • Monitor the pulse of the media landscape, especially at the intersection of culture and technology, to identify and surface trends.

Experience & Requirements

  • High level of buy-in to the Leaders’ vision and values: servant leadership, purpose-driven business, excellence in everything and commitment to constant growth
  • Creative problem solver, an effective communicator, a strong collaborator, resourceful, decisive and reliable
  • Ability to tell a story and invite others into it
  • Ability to understand a vision, create supporting copy, develop social media strategy, and execute
  • Strong grasp of social media platforms and their influence
  • Good understanding of social media analytics and experience optimizing content
  • Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
  • Excellent writing, editing, grammar, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with design software (like Canva & Adobe products)
  • Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Able to recognize and present an unbiased viewpoint
  • 2-3 years experience with Social Media Management/Marketing, communications, publishing, writing, marketing or related fields
  • Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro) is a plus
  • Must complete an edit test with writing samples
