Position Overview
Leaders Media is seeking a passionate Social Media Manager to manage day-to-day social content and strategy for the digital marketing team. This position plays a vital role for Leaders and will develop and execute a social media strategy across all platforms. Along with a passion for storytelling and attention to detail, this individual must have in-depth social media knowledge. This role requires an instinct for what’s on (and off) brand, an eye for powerful visuals and an understanding of how data can inform a social strategy. The Leaders team is growing rapidly and this role requires someone who thrives working with other high level A-team players in a fast paced environment, while maintaining the highest level of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure consistency of brand voice across all content
- Manage day-to-day posting and optimization of content on multiple social media platforms
- Develop content, copyright, social media mapping and execution, and creative asset language that supports the organization overall
- Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments
- Promote the activities and the mission of Leaders
- Work with Influencers and develop an influencer collaboration strategy
- Identify key concepts, ideas and themes within the organization for content creation
- Report on content performance, analytics and present social insights
- Continuously identifying areas of opportunity and improvements
- Monitor the pulse of the media landscape, especially at the intersection of culture and technology, to identify and surface trends.
Experience & Requirements
- High level of buy-in to the Leaders’ vision and values: servant leadership, purpose-driven business, excellence in everything and commitment to constant growth
- Creative problem solver, an effective communicator, a strong collaborator, resourceful, decisive and reliable
- Ability to tell a story and invite others into it
- Ability to understand a vision, create supporting copy, develop social media strategy, and execute
- Strong grasp of social media platforms and their influence
- Good understanding of social media analytics and experience optimizing content
- Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
- Excellent writing, editing, grammar, and verbal communication skills
- Experience with design software (like Canva & Adobe products)
- Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Able to recognize and present an unbiased viewpoint
- 2-3 years experience with Social Media Management/Marketing, communications, publishing, writing, marketing or related fields
- Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro) is a plus
- Must complete an edit test with writing samples
