Position Overview
Leaders Media is seeking an organized and motivated People Operations Coordinator to attract talent, manage the hiring process and ensure that all team members are well cared for. The individual in this role will serve as the main point of contact for all team members for any human resources questions or concerns. This individual will be the first point of contact for all future team members and must serve as an ambassador for Leaders. This includes determining whether or not the candidate is a good fit for Leaders and inspiring top talent with enthusiasm for our purpose and culture. The Leaders team is growing rapidly and this role requires someone who thrives working with other high level A-team players in a fast paced environment, while maintaining the highest level of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Director of Operations to recruit and onboard all future team members as well as build & maintain relationships and company culture
- Create and manage all aspects of talent acquisition including but not limited to job descriptions, job postings and offer letters
- Source qualified candidates, conduct pre-screen interviews and move hiring process forward
- Manage and conduct full onboarding process and ensure smooth transition from pre-hire all the way through the first three weeks of employment
- Maintain employee records with integrity and accuracy
- Responsible for conserving employee engagement and culture while ensuring that all team members have the tools they need to be successful
- Assist with all benefit-related questions
- Remain consistent in all writing and verbal communication of Leaders’ core values and vision
Experience & Requirements
- High level of buy-in to the Leaders’ vision and values: servant leadership, purpose-driven business, excellence in everything and commitment to constant growth
- 2 years minimum experience coordinating in Talent Acquisition or HR
- Communicate clearly and concisely with the executive team on recruiting matters
- Rich interpersonal skills with fine attention to detail
- Creative problem solver, an effective communicator, a strong collaborator, resourceful, decisive and reliable
- Comfort with a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment
- Able to recognize and present an unbiased viewpoint
- Ability to identify key priorities and execute on them
- Communicate and work cross-functionally with several departments
- Superior analytical, presentation and communication skills – written and verbal
- Holds a slightly conservative world-view with the ability to recognize and present an unbiased viewpoint
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Human Resources, or a related field
